Sharing Favorite Bible Stories

Home/Bible Bites 4 Teens, Family Activities/Sharing Favorite Bible Stories

Spend some time with your children talking about favorite Bible stories.  Think about why they are your favorites. What lessons can be drawn from these stories? Do you know where to find them in the Bible?

BibleGateway.com is a great place to look up Bible stories. If you don’t know where the passage is found, enter some key words and suggestions will be listed. For instance, typing in “Noah’s Ark” will give you a passage that falls within this story which spans a few chapters. I used their backup arrows until I came to the beginning of the story, Genesis 6. You can also choose your favorite translation or compare one with another on this website.

Another place to look up Bible stories is on Google where you may find your story re-written for children. Many Bible stories are longer than children are used to reading. Google is also very helpful if you are uncertain of the spelling of a word or name.

Here are a few Bible stories that might be on your favorites list. You can also listen to the verses on Bible Gateway by clicking on the speaker button.
