My copy of the book, The Jesus Storybook Bible: Every story whispers his name, came in the mail today. I read on facebook that it had won an award and I wanted to find out what made it so special. I was not disappointed when I opened the book. It is full of good stories that are easy to read. But the thing that makes this book so special is that it is more than just a book of stories from the Bible. These stories are written to help you see how the stories fit together. It is wonderful to see how even the stories from the Old Testament help us to understand why Jesus came to die for us. When you read these stories you might just feel like you are right there with the people in the story. I do. I’m glad that Sally Lloyd-Jones wrote it. I like the pictures that Jago painted too.
