A Bible Story AND a Special Quilt to Make
The story of Jonah is a powerful way to teach children about sin, how God is a just God and punishes sin, and how He offers forgiveness when we repent and say we’re sorry. In this retelling of Jonah, these concepts are brought to an elementary-age level in a very practical way perfect for this age to understand.
I also think one of the most wonderful things about this full color picture book is that there are downloadable coloring pages to transfer onto fabric for you child to color. These special quilt blocks can be crafted into a quilt, a fabric book, or other fabric project you want to make with your child. I especially love this idea because I’m a quilter and am always looking for a new quilt idea for my grandchildren. The links for instructions on how to craft the quilt (along with several fun puzzles and parent discussion questions) are found at the back of the book. What a great project for a quilting ministry at a church to create a child’s quilt as well!
I was so excited to read a preview copy of this new treasure!
