Some more pictures from MR. Terry…

Here are some more great pictures by MR. Terry… Howard Sivertsons' 'Tale of the Old Northshore' book; photo by Terry Schocke   Mr. Terry Schocke was busy taking official pictures for the Ely Winter Festival and couldn’t keep up with Ducker too. Doesn’t he do nice photography!   The Voyageur Encampment reenactment took place in Whiteside Park during the Winter Festival. Here is a great picture Mr. Terry took at the encampment: Be sure to check out the official Ely

Good bye, Ely… (sniff, sniff…) I’m going to miss you!

Ms. Terri says these are our last pictures. It has been so much fun exploring in this frozen land. Even though it is cold outside, the people have been very warm and friendly. Snow Power! I bet this guy could knock you out cold! Those carvers come up with everything. Some people never learn. This is somebody's tongue stuck to a flag pole. Don't let anybody pull this trick on you. I'm glad this tongue is made out of snow

More snow sculptures!

Ms. Terri and I went to see some more snow sculptures today. The theme of this year’s Winter Festival is  Fantasy and Folklore. These look like they came right out of some of the storybooks Mrs. Green read to me. This sculpture was taken from the Artist Howard Sievertson of Minnesota. He painted many paintings for the book "Tales of the Old Northshore" This is part 2 of the snow sculpture above. Howard Sievertson's Tales of the Old North Shore
