Family fun in the car

Is your family preparing for a trip when school lets out for the summer? Do memories of your children’s comments like “Are we almost there yet?” “How many more miles?” or “Sammy is looking at me!” plague your mind from your last trip? If this is true, resist the urge to install a DVD player. Instead, develop a repertoire of games and activities that your family can play in the car. Romans 5:1-5 Rejoice in sufferings???

I’ve been encouraged by several posts I read on Facebook recently from people who are applying the principle of rejoicing in their sufferings. It goes against the grain of our human nature doesn’t it? It is so much easier to ask “Why me” and to get angry over our losses. People are hurting all over the US from tornadoes and flooding. The picture is of the tipsy flowerpot tower she made. Jean offered this website for directions on how to build the tipsy flowerpot

Matthew 24:36 No one knows

Whenever I hear of any pastor or religious guru proclaiming the date of the end of the world I am persuaded that he/she is deceived and is not grounded in the Scriptures. Matthew 24:36 clearly states that no one knows the day or the hour when Jesus will return. Jesus said the angels didn’t know and that he, himself wasn’t privy to that information either. Only God knows when that day will come. It never hurts to remember that
