New Friends in Ely

Home/Ducker's Adventures/New Friends in Ely

Ms. Terri took me to the Community Center where the Northern Lakes Arts Association (NLAA) was holding a Craft Fair (and bake sale – yummy) while the Ely Winter Festival was going on. Ms. Terri was working there as a volunteer. She introduced  me to some of her friends:

Bob N. tour guide
Bob N. is a really great tour guide! Mr. Bob is a fantastic story teller, and spins a great story about Dorothy Molter at the Museum. He has a cool sense of humor. His ancestors came to America from Poland.
Sarah Guy-Levar
Sarah Guy-Levar is the Executive Director of the Dorothy Molter Museum. She is so lively and talented. She heads up “Camp Kwitchurbeliakin” (Quit your belly aching) where kids spend about 2 hours a week with her. She finds fascinating things for the kids to do outdoors. She also loves to sing and do theater. She is really good at that too.
Peg Rosett
Peg Rosett was one of Dorothy Molter's friends. She is still a sweet friend to many around Ely. She was like a fun grandmother to me. I guess she gets lots of practice with her own grandkids. She is kind, gentle and a barrel of laughs.
Johnnie Hyde of Raven Productions
This is Johnnie Hyde who started a publishing company called Raven Productions, Inc.Johnnie is an outgoing gal around Ely. She is very busy with her book publishing business and spends many hours working to make what she publishes fun for kids and grown-ups alike! She also publishes a seasonal magazine about Ely. She prints the Ely Summertimes and the Ely Wintertimes. Some of her books are in this picture with me. Here is a link to Raven Productions: http://www.ravenwords.com/

Ducker loves to travel and visit new places. Sometimes he gets restless and quacks and quacks begging Mrs. Green to find someplace where he can go. He travels with the help of the Post Office most of the time since that is cheaper than airline tickets. Contact Janice D. Green if you would like to host Ducker for a visit to someplace special. He behaves himself most of the time.
