More snow sculptures!

Home/Ducker's Adventures/More snow sculptures!

Ms. Terri and I went to see some more snow sculptures today. The theme of this year’s Winter Festival is  Fantasy and Folklore. These look like they came right out of some of the storybooks Mrs. Green read to me.

Snow sculpture 1
This sculpture was taken from the Artist Howard Sievertson of Minnesota. He painted many paintings for the book "Tales of the Old Northshore"
Snow sculpture 2
This is part 2 of the snow sculpture above. Howard Sievertson's Tales of the Old North Shore... Carrying a cow along Lake Superior shores. I don't know what would be scarier, being in the boat with a cow or being a cow in a rowboat.

Wow! I can’t imagine how people can make such awesome art by carving blocks of snow. These are huge. You can see little ole me in two of these pictures if you look for me.

Tomorrow is supposed to be a sunnier day. Ms. Terri was disappointed that these pictures were so dark. So maybe we will go again. I hope so. This is fun, even if it is really cold outside.

Ducker loves to travel and visit new places. Sometimes he gets restless and quacks and quacks begging Mrs. Green to find someplace where he can go. He travels with the help of the Post Office most of the time since that is cheaper than airline tickets. Contact Janice D. Green if you would like to host Ducker for a visit to someplace special. He behaves himself most of the time.
